Pear Head 35020 Pearhead Babyprints
This baby book would appeal to those with a more advanced or minimalist taste. It does not integrate cutesy pictures, rather allows you to place your own cute baby pictures in it is All the pages are a solid cream color. The left page is for the pictures, which are self-applied with the provided photo corners. Therefore, you may put nearly any size pictures. The page on the right cover a dissimilar topic. Some of these include one for mom, where you may put your name birthdate, places you’ve lived, schools you attended, hobbbies. There is one for daddy. There is a page for how mommy and daddy met. One page is when it comes to how you found out you were pregnant. There is a place to write when or whether or not you found out the gender of the baby, and how you felt. There is one for the baby shower. There’s a page for the baby’s family tree up to his/her swell grandparents. One page is for the day baby is born. There is a page for baby’s firsts. There are spots for birthdays for the original few years. I’m not sure what it would take for me to give it all five stars, but it just didn’t make me flip with excitement. Overall I’m completely satisfied with the book and it suits my needs.
I read all the reviews for this baby book and was reasonably hopeful it wouldn’t be the typical cutesy over done baby books you see out theres I wanted something I could place pictures in as well as record mileposts and events. Unfortunately I felt this baby book gave half an crusade on both sides. There are plenty of pages to put your pictures in as each left page is blank for this intentions I’m a diehard scrapbooker and this was a small much for me giving careful consideration to what “themed” pages were on the right hand side. The topic pages were just lacking. Sure there was data in regards to mom, dad, a family tree page, basi Christmas etc. and included pages for 1-6 birthdays, which I thought was a little excessive seeing as it was a “baby book,” but when it came down to other data you might want to record it was gravely lacking. I wish I had written down the pages before I sent it back to give you more an idea of what they left out but I can say I did not send it back because it didn’t have cutesy pictures or because I thought the blank picture pages were just too much. I was more than willing to work with those pages adding color and pictures at my own discretion. I returned the book because when it’s your baby you want to make a note of each little thing and their weren’t sufficient “topic” pages with sufficient assortment for me to accomplish this.
This baby book it very nice. of an “up-scale” baby book.) It comes with picture tabs so you don’t have to use tape. The only complaint I have, is that it doesn’t have any cute pictures of animals or baby blocks, that sort of thing. It is a blank page on one side, then on the other is where you write all the info. It is very well made. This memory book will be the classiest looking by far of my 4 children.
Love love this. The only negative is the caption at the bottom of the page that tells you what pictures to put on the opposite page. I ordered thinking the caption could be covered with pictures, but I was wrong and it is a little irritating. Otherwise this is a outstanding baby book. It is very good quality and contains very well.
I read a large total of reviews before purchasing and wished I known the following…
Content Page Titles – My Story, with regards to Mommy, with regards to Daddy, How mommy and daddy met, Our Family Tree, Mommy’s Pregnant, Visiting the Doctor, Your Baby Shower, Your Delivery, Your Birth Announcement, Coming home, Leaving the hospital, Your Tiny Hands and Feet, Current events and pop culture, introductory – Fifth Birthdays (each separated), Early Learning, Preschool, Kindergarten, My introductory Christmas, My firstborn Hanukkah, My primary initial your own), My firstborn Easter, My basi Halloween, My first Thanksgiving, Growth Chart, Firsts and Favorites, A Letter for You, 14 Photo Journal Pages
Pros:
-It fits utterly inside the top percentage of the perfectly matching keepsake box – which I’m SO glad I ultimately decided to buy, as well.
-The quality of the outside fabric and binding was impressive
-You can rearrange/remove the pages by unscrewing the binding posts from the back-side
-There aren’t a bunch of cutesy clip-art images everyplace – very graceful and “plain” so you can veritably personalize
-Pearhead customer service was very helpful and respectful in explaining answers to my questions
Cons:
-What I thought was unbelievably annoying was each text page has a “page suggestion” at the bottom that is beauteous much impossible to conceals AND the suggestions are all beautiful much the same/not helpful anyway! whether or not they genuinely felt this was important, they must have made a removable index page and put the suggestions there so that they aren’t displayed in your book. Granted, these suggestions are very small and at the very bottom, but still.
- The photo pages are each divided in half. One half with the cellophane covering for photos and the other half to write notes. For some, this is advantageous but for me, I just want more room for photos that speak for themselves.
I wish they made a matching photo album with the same binding/cover. I’m going to buy a second one of these just to remove the text pages and add all photo pages.
Any questions?
I like the footprint/handprint part it comes with, but everything else seemed kind of “stuffed” in the book.
All the other babybooks I’ve seen had organization to them but this one had the holidays jumbled up, the growth chart way towards the back after ther 1-5 birthdays, etc..
The fact I still, after 14.5 months, have to flip through the pages to find what I’m looking for is rather annoying, but all in all it’s a acceptable babybook. Not something I’d buy again though.
I commend purchasing this book to capture the firsts (coming home from hospital, first holidays, etc), and then another book for just keeping photos. This book is great, very easy to re-arrange the pages and use the photo corners. The only thing is that you can in truth only fit a few photos per page if you are using 4X6 common prints. So you can document the event and write the details on the page to the right and then include a few sample pictures on the page on the left. The page on the right also does a swell job of listing out what moments you will have to write about, and how. I’m sure you can purchase additional pages to hold more photos, but there in truth is not enough room to add them to the spine once the existent pages have pictures on them.
That said, I do love this book and am happy I bought its Writing this review as I search for another, more basic photo album just to place more photos in.
This is a genuinely durable baby book. I am very satisfied with the quality of this baby book. It will defiantly last a life time and can be looked at over an over again. I haven’t used the clean print ink yet but from the looks of it it is going to work great. Only thing I didn’t like about the book is at the bottom of every page it has printed suggestions on what photos to put on the corresponding page…..think I can figure that on out on my own!
I purchased this baby book in blue 4 years ago for my son. It includes very cute pages about how mommy and daddy met, who was there when they were born, who took them home. Then their first holidays, birthdays all the way to 5 years old, preschool and kindergarden firsts as well as a couple of pages for baby’s first everything. In the front you can do a mess free foot print or hand print along with a picture. And there is an included set of picture corners to place pictures in blank pages in accordance with the event written about. I love this book! I searched high and low for this in Pink and in the long run found it here! LOVE LOVE LOVE this
