Nature Babycare Eco Sensitive Fragrance Free 70 Count
Being Mr. Mom, I’m not a huge time reviewer of baby things, but I had to speak out in regards to this. My wife and I have been using these ECO-Sensitive wipes for nearly two years. At primary we loved them. The cleaning power, but tame as well. We not long ago ordered our next batch a few weeks ago, and I’m very unhappy. NATY had changed the formula a month or so ago, and removed the organic ingredients from the composition. They quietly did this and didn’t let individuals know. In fact, the formula is very different! They now as well comprise a light but odd smell. I wrote to NATY in regards to this, and this is the email that I got:
Hi (name),
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. We are thankful for your commitment to Nature babycare. We apologize for the delay in responding to you.
Your feedback and comments regarding our wipes are fantastically valuable to us. Thank you for supplying the selective data underneath so that we may report it back to our factory. We changed providers at the beginning of the year to utilize their progressed technology in eco-friendliness, as well as, the prospective to ramp up production in order to keep up with the demand for our products.
We are constantly endeavoring to ameliorate and changes in design sometimes occur but should never compromise the quality of our products. Please acknowledge that our formula is the same. However, it is possible that any variance of measurements in the dosage of the moisture ingredients could manufacture a dissimilar smell. We very seldom have issues regarding our scent so we will definitely investigate how this could happen.
We surely appreciate your honestness in reporting your concerns Be assured that we only use natural ingredients in our wipes as they are the “greenest” on the market. whether or not you would like to contact Amazon.com to request replacement product or a refund, they will be happy to aid you.
Sincerely,
Stephanie

The email says the formula is the same, but I have the packaging from both new batch and former batch. They are NOT the same. I have decisive to look for another wipe. It’s too bad, NATY could have had a customer for the next child too.
A concerned dad.

Update on 4/13/11:
We just started using our newly ordered Tushies Wipes TushiesWipes, Unscented Natural Formula with Aloe, 80 Wipe Pop-up Tubs (Pack of 12) They’re available in plastic tubs or refills for the same highpriced Made in the USA, the wipes come out to $.027/wipe as opposed the NATY which is slightly cheaper at $.022/wipe. The Tushies wipes are much thicker and distinguished easier, but they are made from a paper fiber which means that they can tear on rough wiping. whether or not you’re using the wipe on your baby’s bottom, and face, you won’t (I would hope not) exert enough strength for them to tear. Here are the ingredients to Tushies as specialized on the packaging:
Water, Aloe Vera, Glycerin-Vegetable Derived, Allantoin, Panthenol, Vitamin E, Tartaric Acid, Potassium Sorbate.
I have applied these wipes for over 2 years and I have constantly been very happy with them. My daughter has very sensible skin and these were the only ones that didn’t make her break out. I as well use the diapers and love them!) There was constantly the occasional problem of the wipes not separating decently but it was tolerable because the wipes were so good. But I was very disappointed with my last shipment when I realized the size was smaller, the separation problem has gotten worse and they seem dryer than before. It now takes more wipes to clean a poopy diaper, which is very wasteful, and they don’t pull isolated well. You’ll get 4 or 5 in a row stuck together and then they will to a complete degree break apart and you have to dig down into the package for the next one. I hope more humans will write in if you’ve experienced these issues. I genuinely want to use these wipes again but I am currently attempting Seventh Generation and Tushies again to see if I can be happy with them. it is so inauspicious when companies think that skimping on their productions will save them cash when it will genuinely lose them cash by losing customers.
I have been using the Nature Babycare diapers and wipes since my son was born and have always been very happy with them, HOWEVER, I recently re-checked the ingredient list on the wipes and was SHOCKED to see phenoxyethenol as an ingredient. There are in addition a couple other (less toxic) ingredients in their aloe wipes. I am not certain why or when they changed their formulation (SHAME ON THEM!!) but I have written to the company in hopes of becoming more information. This is disappointing and so very frustrating! If you are looking for a chemical free option try Jackson Reece Herbal Baby Wipes – they contain ONLY aloe, tea tree oil, lavender important oil and purified water. Hopefully they keep it that way! UGH!
I know there are a lot of complaints when it comes to the new packaging, but I don’t think it is a question of the company attempting to save money or skimp on the product by cutting down the size of the wipes and the package– I think they downsized because it makes much fewer waste and they are an environmentally friendly productions If you feel that the wipes clump together when you take them out of the package, the solution is to take the number of wipes you need for your baby out of the package BEFORE you commence the diaper adjust alter put the ones you need back in the package or in your diaper bag portable wipe case). That way you aren’t pulling out a bunch of wipes… It makes it a lot more comfortable to have everything ready before the diaper change, regardless. I’ve never had a problem with that, and I have never used more wipes than necessary. This product is amazing, and truly the only company for baby care productions right now that is almost 100% green (no company is truly 100%, but this one is the closest in this product category). I would purchase all their merchandise regardless for that reason alone… But as it is, not only do I love them for that– every single one of their productions are in addition AWESOME!!! My child has never gotten a diaper rash with Nature Babycare, because I know that the wipes (and diapers) are swell for his skin and are all-natural. Other diapers and wipes I have used in the past before I found these, *always* caused problems with rashes/irritation, etc. (Yes, Seventh Generation and Earth’s Best– including you!) Also, the companies I just brought up are NOT as “Eco-Friendly” as they profess to be– the products are not made with biodegradable materials. Read the labels and packaging, and find out more when it comes to so-called “green” companies in usual general they aren’t everything they profess to be). They may be better than your intermediate non-green products, but that doesn’t mean that they are as green as they could be. Remember that when you shop. The bottom line is selling the generative Marketing doesn’t always tell the whole story! If you care when it comes to your precious small one/s along with our planet– AND don’t want to feel as awful about the bags and bags and bags (and bags and bags and bags!) of diapers you throw in to our landfills each year, Nature Babycare is the best!
The product packaging says that it is 100% free of harsh chemicals. However, this product holds Limonene, Linalool and Geraniol, all of which are skin irritants. If you want to find a brand that does not have harsh chemicals, read the ingredients and look elsewhere. I am badly disappointed and can’t believe I just bought such a large package!
The most natural disposable wipe I can find. We use cloth mostly but like to have something for on the go. One of the few wipes that is compostable/biodegradable so at least it isn’t petroleum/rayon (not) rotting in the ground for 300 years. Most of the other “natural” wipes that are chlorine-free aren’t in truth compostable/biodegradble (Earth’s Best, 7th Generation)
Unscented. Stinky wipes make diaper changes worse.
The old saying “don’t mend it if it isn’t broken” applies absolutely to this products The wipes clump together even worse, which use to be tolerable, and they seem drier. I didn’t detect that they were littler which most likely intensifies the clumping problem along with being drier. I was very pleased with this product until the last shipment I received through subscribe and save. Needless to say, I have cancelled my subscribe and save subscription and hope they improve in the future. I hope you people who have had the same issues with this product go to their internetlocation and complain like I did. As far as downsizing the wipe to fabricate fewer waste, I thought that was the purpose of being biodegradable. Plus you are not creating less waste if it takes 2+ wipes more of the smaller wipe to clean your child versus holding the wipe slightly larger like it was.
Amazon switched our subscription from “70-Count Packages” to “70-Count Boxes” but these new wipes are useless for babies.
They either come out folded in half or in a clump of two or three. Neither is a good thing when your trying to stay clear from getting baby poo everywhere!
We purchase these wipes because we would only wipe our baby’s feces on the most natural and pristine elements of Mother Gaia. There are two vantages over the Costco wipes we had antecedently used. First, unlike the Costco wipes, which come in a plastic pouch, the Nature Babycare wipes come in a paper-coated plastic pouch. Second, the Costco wipes have a snapping reclosable mouth made of hard plastic, which lets you open the package, reliably extract a single wipe, and close the package all with one hand in about two seconds. The Nature Babycare wipes, however, have an adhesive cellophane flap. It’s easy – open the flap (assuming you were extraordinarily lucky and managed to close it the last time), dig through the dried up wipes on top, pull out a clump of 5-10 semi-moist ones, separate a wipe, locate your baby, who’s probably crawled halfway throughout the interstate by now, wipe, repeat, cram the loose ends back into the mouth of the bag, and store the bag in a high locked cabinet so your baby doesn’t choke on the cellophane flap. While all this does give rise to more waste because you need five times as numerous packages to yield the same number of usable wipes, it’s good for Mother Gaia in the long term, because it will dissuade you from having any more children.
Honestly i do not comprehend why such a great company with GREAT products feel the need to change a absolutely wonderful, effective, well-priced product to little better than toilet tissue! I have been using NBC diapers and wipes for over a year and like the other reviews have said, not only are they smaller, but they are in truth thinner [practically see-through!], either a heap of wipes pull out when trying to get just one, or [in a wipes warmer which the former design worked AMAZINGLY!] none come out and you have to go digging. Also, i am finding that i am using double the quantity due to the change in thickness. perchance it’s just deserve maybe it was just one shipment. I have a sentiment that the company is trying to keep out of the way of price increases by decreasing the quality of their smaller products like wipes. They went through that craziness with the diaper redesign, then when they got it underneath control they decreased the amount of diapers in a package by 12[size 5s]! Just a theory. The company though is very receptive to buyer feedback and do back the quality of their products I will be writing the company again for information and explanations. Still, in the scheme of things, i still prefer to help this company by using its products, even consider making the concession of continuing to use their now poor quality wipe as long as they DON’T mess with the diapers again… that would be the last straw.
6/27/10: OK, it isn’t me, nor the shipment, the product redesign is just terrible. I use double to triple the amount of wipes, and i have to tell you, the fact that it is now NOT compatible with a wipes warmer is KILLING ME! I really, genuinely hate digging into it get pull out either one or ten wipes at a time! Honestly, i don’t know how economi or “eco-friendly” it is to consume this much! And now, when amazon ships the case, it is boxed in an further and added box [more waste!] instead of shipping its firstborn packaging like before!! I really wish i new if it was worth it [eco-friendly/economical] to carry on to use this product or just use conventional wipes.
